Been a social butterfly and been eating and drinking a lot these past several weeks. Last night, I went to 15 East. We let sushi chef, Masato Shimizu, formerly of Jewel Bako, choose our dishes. This was one of the best Japanese meals that I've had in a while. The quality of the fish was outstanding. Their tofu and soba is one of the best in the city. See the below video: the most succulent octopus that I have tried to date. The Omakase was not cheap at $140 per person!
I also checked out Bar Blanc, ex- Bouley chef César Ramirez's new place, last Friday. Good food, worth checking out. Still a bit green. I liked the intensity of flavors but overall, the food lacked texture.
Need to run, going to a 2000 Clos Vougeot horizontal dinner tonight! Woo hoo!
